It will also have a positive impact on society, because it will reduce the number of arrests and prosecutions for a drug that is less harmful than other legal drugs, including alcohol and tobacco based products.
Fewer arrests relating to marijuana will have a positive impact on the reduction in costs relating to prison terms for this drug and could improve the chances of users of marijuana getting employment and stability in their lives.
